Five major features seen in Phylum Chordata 

  1. Dorsal Hollow tubular Nerve Cord
  2. Notochord
  3. Pharyngeal pouches and slits
  4. Endostyle and thyroid gland
  5. Post-anal tail

Cosmoid scales (Rare scales) only found in Sarcopterygii
Placoid scales are only in Class Chondrichthyes
